Please mark your calendars and Save the Date for our upcoming Lā Kūʻokoʻa (Hawaiian Independence Day) celebration on Wednesday, November 26, 2025!
We are incredibly excited to share the planning efforts being led by Kumu Pekelo and his Papa 11 haumāna (students). They are working hard to create a meaningful, educational, and festive day for our entire kula (school) community as we honor this important time in Hawaiian history.
While more details will follow, our plans for the day include:
- Before the start of school- Hawaiian Flag waving and singing on roadside
🏆 Thrilling Kūkini races
👕 Commemorative Lā Kūʻokoʻa T-shirts
🎶 A joyous closing ʻaha mele (gathering of song)
This is a special opportunity for us to come together to celebrate our history, our culture, and our lāhui.
